Hello Pack 372!!!

Well, we finished another year and we had a most successful advancement ceremony.  You should be proud of your boys for all their hard work and success with their past scouting levels.  The next level should be more fun and challenging and provide many learning skills.  Our summer activities offer a lot of opportunities for our boys to fill in their book requirements also (i.e., day camp, family camp, our campouts, and your den activities to name only a few).  Remember the Summertime Award!!!!

I would like to thank all our adults who have stepped up and helped to make this year so successful.  I hope we can continue to count on your help and support, both new and seasoned adults.  Please remember you can be as active as your schedule allows.  So if you would like to learn more about assisting our other adults, please ask!  It is also my pleasure to announce that we raised a little over $585.00 for Friends of Scouting.  So please accept my heartfelt thanks to all who were able to donate.

Remember to check our calendar for upcoming events, hikes, campouts, and all the other fun things we have planned for the summer.  Our boys will be experiencing new and maybe sometimes difficult tasks.  But that is where the best learning comes from.  They should continue to develop those skills to be better scouts and better citizens in our community.  If I may quote from the Scoutmaster's book:

"It dosen't matter how many times you fall down as long as you get back up each time.  The ability to get back up is called persistence.  Those who learn to make persistence a part of their character will eventually succeed, while those who don't simply won't.  Failure is not falling down, but staying down.  Every time you get back up, you haven't failed.  Every time you make one more try, or give it one more effort, you haven't failed."

So have a great and safe summer and I hope to see everyone at our up-coming events!

Yours In Scouting

Frank
